Jana Vöröšová

Jana Vöröšová studied composition at Prague Conservatory, then she continued with the same field of study at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and later she spent a year at Koninklijk Conservatoire Brussel and attended a three-month art residency in Paris.

Her compositions are performed at festivals Prague Spring International Music Festival (Czech Republic), Contempuls (Czech Republic), Forfest (Czech Republic), Prague Premiers (Czech Republic), Orfeo (Slovakia), Festival delle Nazioni Città di Castello (Italy), Festival Calliopé (France), Présances (France), Wien Modern (Austria) and others.

She won the competition for composers announced by Czech Philharmonic in 2018. She cooperates with orchestras and ensembles in the Czech Republic and abroad (Berg, Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, South Czech Philharmonic, Czech Philharmonic, Konvergence, Nederland Blazers Ensemble, Bohemia Saxophone Quartet, Musica cum gaudio, and others).  She is also the author and dramaturg of dozens of all night programs and performances.

At present, she is a teacher at Duncan Centre, at Roztoč Association and she is a founder of Tušení Association that organizes cultural and educational activities, concerts, performances and seminars. She teaches musical creative courses both for children and adults that focus on creating unusual sound landscapes.
