Milan Zelenka

Milan Zelenka graduated from Prague Conservatory and today he belongs to our most significant concert guitarists. His journey to the world was opened by successes at competitions in Moscow (1957) and Vienna (1959) where he was awarded golden medals. Concert tours of Milan Zelenka lead to many countries not only in Europe and Asia, but also Japan and the United States.
Milan Zelenka teaches at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and he has raised a number of young guitarists who have started as promising concerting artists. His virtuoso play can be heard on dozens of vinyls and CDs. As an interpret, he has brought guitar to Czech concert stages and lately he has intensively devoted himself to composition.
