Růžová krinolína, Říkej mi to potichoučku (for big band arranged by Václav Hybš)

He was a founding member of the Dance orchestra of Czechoslovak radio where he played under conductor Karel Krautgartner with many other excellent jazzmen, such as Kamil Hála, Luděk Hulan, Ivan Dominák or Pavel Vitoch. Since 1950s he has made music arrangements for various orchestras, gradually he began to organize his own ensemble and during 1962–64 an independent Václav Hybš orchestra was established in Rokoko theatre.

Since then he has been arranging all compositions for his orchestra and for singers whom he accompanies. The orchestra has performed on a popular music scene for more than fifty years. It has been cooperating with the television and the radio. It has recorded a series of records published on vinyls and CDs and it has cooperated with many Czech popular singers.

"Dear colleagues, in cooperation with the Music publishing house of Czech radio, I decided to publish notes for big bands’ needs. Notes that you have purchased are those that my orchestra has been using for many years when performing at various social events, balls etc. You may find my arrangements very easy to play. My aim was to make them accessible to both professionals and amateurs. Members of big bands often change and they substitute for each other and it is important that they are able to play their parts straight away.
I want to express my gratitude to Czech radio for a great cooperation on publishing these notes and I wish you and your audience an extraordinary experience and joy from music that you certainly perform not only for your own pleasure. I hope you will enjoy the music as I did with my band at our own concerts.
