Czech Radio and the EU Presidency
Czech Radio is the official media partner and host broadcaster of the Czech EU Presidency, due to an agreement with the Czech government.
The most significant role as host broadcaster is offering services to foreign radios, especially to members of the European Broadcasting Union. This role comprises of:
- Sending information about the meetings and services offered by Czech Radio via the EBU central office in Geneva
- Offering access to broadcasting technology and facilitating broadcasting booths for foreign radio stations
- Coordinating the use of radio booths in the press centres, which are used for audio recording and live broadcasting
- Making audio recordings of press conferences, and further statements from delegates, in original Czech, English and French language versions
- Publishing audio files online and sharing them with foreign radio stations, and also cooperating on the placement of the audio files on the official Czech Presidency website.
