“From the start of the Russian invasion, Czech Radio has been strongly supporting Ukraine. For more than a year, through the DAB+ and DVB-T2 networks, we have been providing continuous broadcasting of the Ukrainian public-service radio. On the international Radiodays Europe 2023 conference, we signed an agreement on mutual cooperation with the Ukrainian broadcasting company UA:PBC. Launching a special website by Radio Prague International is yet another important step towards strengthening of the news service for Ukrainians,” says Director General of Czech Radio, René Zavoral.

“The web portal shall not address only the issues of Ukrainians living in the Czech Republic. Instead, similarly to other language versions, it will also promote the Czech Republic and provide a comprehensive picture of the affairs in the Czech Republic including history, science and travel,” says Klára Stejskalová, Chief Editor of Radio Prague International.

Radio Prague International is a Czech Radio station supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. On a daily basis, the station produces half-an-hour news programmes in five languages informing foreign listeners, expats and foreigners living in the Czech Republic about domestic affairs. The station operates radio.cz web portal in Czech, English, German, Russian, Spanish and French. The international broadcasting in Czechoslovakia dates back to 1936.
