Prokofiev, Stravinsky, Tchaikovsky, Rudolfinum - June 18th, 2012

25. červenec 2012

The 85th Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra season-ticket holders’ concert season comes to a close at the Dvořák Hall on Monday 18 June.

The featured soloist will be the pianist Ivo Kahánek, who will perform Stravinsky’s Capriccio. Principal conductor Ondrej Lenárd will complete the programme with Prokofiev’s “Classical” Symphony and Tchaikovsky’s “Pathetic” Symphony, which, as he says, he regards as “mankind’s confession. The final part is so overwhelming, but at the same it delivers such a kind of vital catharsis that it perfectly captures the poles between which we have to pass.”
